Delhi Police recovered five knives from the flat of Mehrauli murder case accused Aftab Amin Poonawalla, who underwent a marathon polygraph test for nearly eight hours at the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) here on Thursday, officials said.
Police, however, said that the saw which was allegedly used by Poonawalla to cut the body of his live-in partner, Shraddha Walker, is yet to be recovered.

The Press Trust of India reported that according to sources in the police department, the recovered knives were sent to the FSL for examination to ascertain whether they were used in the crime.
A source said that whether these knives were used during the crime would be known only after the forensic examination, which takes time.
The second session of Poonawalla’s polygraph test, which began around 12 noon at FSL Rohini, lasted for about eight hours. He was asked about 40 questions.
Sources said Poonawalla cooperated during the probe but some of the recordings were not clear as he was sneezing. The test could not be done on Wednesday as Poonawalla had fever and cold.
During the session, Poonawalla was asked details about the case, what motivated him to kill Walker, if it was a premeditated incident or he did it in a fit of rage as he claimed in court.

Meanwhile, a Delhi Police team carried out searches at Bhayandar Creek near Mumbai for mobile phones, an official said.
The searches were conducted with the help of Mira-Bhayander-Vasai-Virar police personnel, he said.
The national capital police team is camping in Vasai area near Mumbai, across from where Walker and his live-in partner Poonawalla lived for a week.
The investigators also recorded the statements of Walker and Poonawalla’s friends, relatives and the owners of the flats they had rented.
Speaking to news channel ABP News, Rajat Shukla, a friend from her college, said that Poonawalla used to light a cigarette to Walker but she did not go to the police as she wanted to give him another chance.
They said that after having an affair with Poonawalla, Walker had distanced herself from her family and all her friends.
In 2021, Shraddha shared with a close female friend that Aftab had burnt her on her back with a cigarette and we were sorry to hear about it, she said.
He said his friends went to Poonawalla and threatened to file a police complaint if he continued to misbehave with them.
Speaking at the Times Now Summit, Union Minister Amit Shah said that he is keeping an eye on the whole matter.
