Success Story: Happy, Healthy and Hot! | India News

“It’s much more than a physical change.”

These are the words of one of my beautiful clients, and I realized they are a perfect description of my own journey as well.

I am Elizabeth from Happy Healthy and Hot. I’m a 56-year-old double-certified health coach helping women of all ages lose weight so they can love their bodies and their lives. I love showing them how great it feels to feel so good and it’s not just about the destination of better health, it’s about who you become on the journey.

Back in 2016, nearing my 50th birthday, I was featured here on MDA as a success story. I shared my health journey of eradicating cystic acne that has plagued me for decades, along with relieving severe anxiety and digestive issues. All this was the result of adopting the primal lifestyle.

Recently I re-read that article and tears welled up in my eyes. In it, I mentioned three goals: becoming certified as a Primal Health Coach, starting my own coaching business, and writing a book. I have accomplished all that and many more.

My Earnings initial health coach The certification in 2017 got me so deeply into the science and research that this lifestyle supports, and gave me the tools, knowledge, and most importantly, the confidence to finally start my own coaching business, happy healthy and hot, I offer a unique blend of mindset, nutrition and fitness, and have a knack for turning heavy health information into quick little tips that my clients can implement and see results right away.

And then I wrote that book! Happy Healthy and Hot Journal – 90 Days to Love Your Body and Your Life She was the simple tool I needed, my clients wanted, and I knew what other women needed to stay on track with the mindset, nutrition, and fitness they needed every single day.

I’m more proud to make it to the finals of the Maxim Cover Girl contest at age 53, competing with women in their twenties and thirties. The old Elizabeth may never have done it, but the new Elizabeth takes on challenges, takes inspired action, and says yes when it’s a full-bodied yes.

A recent challenge I’ve taken on is to give myself a gift that no one else can give me: a visible six pack for my 56th birthday. (Full disclosure: I’d never had a six pack, even when I was working hard at the gym in my early twenties.) Every time I take on a challenge like this it lights me up, and gives me confidence and a sense of humor. The satisfaction that comes with arriving. Goals move forward and propel me forward in other areas of my life.

And speaking of life, it gets in the way sometimes, just like it does for everyone. It is during that time, when sh*t is hitting the fan, that I see the true value of my health practices. The simple routine I have for mindset, nutrition and fitness keeps me on track no matter what is happening around me.

I’m always making changes to my health and fitness routine, but ultimately it’s no different than what I shared in 2016. Every day begins with a morning walk, which is much more than exercise. It’s about getting out in nature and being exposed to that precious morning light. This is followed by my coffee, quiet journaling time, and a very efficient 20-minute workout that’s mostly resistance to body weight. I walk at least 10,000 steps a day, and even more if I’m hiking or on the beach.

I teach my clients “Prioritize and Produce Protein” Which is exactly what I do in my life. It serves anywhere from convenience stores to five-star restaurants. But my favorite place to eat is my own home, where I have complete control over the quality and preparation. There’s something so satisfying about preparing simple, delicious meals with the best ingredients.

Now that nutrition has come to me so easily, I find myself ready to spend more time outside and reap the benefits of natural light exposure and grounding. As I focus more on strength and stamina, my next challenge will be completing the Primal Fitness Coach certification, so that I can expand my knowledge and service that I provide to my clients.

The reason I challenge myself is simple: It feels so good to feel so good! Optimizing my health has had a positive impact on every area of my life, and being able to share my journey and inspire others through social media is turning that wave into a powerful wave.

In the end, health goals are much more than reaching a destination. It’s about who you become along the way. And the best way to get there is to take action with your vision in mind. That’s what kept me going while I was working on my six pack. Every meal I prepared, every workout I competed in, every affirmation I spoke with a clear picture in my mind of how amazing it was going to feel when I reached my goal. In the words of Neville Goddard, “The feeling is the mystery.”

Back to the client I quoted at the beginning: Laura has lost over 25 pounds by applying my simple tips and tweaks. But even better, he has a newfound confidence and zest for life. In her sixties she is feeling better than she has been in years, really loving her body and her life. And that’s all.
